ABOUT ME

Kristie Karch is a New York based props master and artisan. She is a graduate of the BFA Theatre Design and Technology program at Ball State University. She has a concentration in props, but also enjoys working in paint, carpentry, and scenic design.

 

In the past, Kristie has worked as the props master and props assistant on shows at a variety of venues, such as mainstage shows at Ball State University and high school productions at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Some of Kristie's recent prop work includes residency as the Properties Supervisor of the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts. She completed 7 productions there in the summer of 2022, including Private Lives, An American in Paris, and Murder on the Orient Express.

Kristie currently works as a scenic painter for Pink Sparrow, a fabrication company located in Brooklyn, New York and as a prop runner substitute for the Off-Broadway production of The Play That Goes Wrong, at New World Stages. Most recently, Kristie worked as Assistant Production Props for the new Louis Armstrong biopic, A Wonderful World.
